Abrigo = nombre general para todas las prendas que abrigan torso y brazos. Suele ser más grande, impermeable y grueso que la chaqueta.
Chaqueta = Prenda exterior de vestir, con mangas, abierta por delante (botones o cremallera), que llega por debajo de la cadera.
Chaquetón = igual que chaqueta, pero más larga y más gruesa.
Cazadora = igual que chaqueta, pero corta, ajustada a la cadera.

I agree with her. Though here in the south of Spain "chaquetón" means the same as "abrigo", not as "chaqueta" but in bigger.
Though "abrigo" is mostly used for the formal ones and "chaquetón" for the informal ones.
Tbh I thought it was that way in all the country.
