People is plural of person meaning more than one person! "Peoples" is something you should never say because it is incorrect. However, you can say "People's" if you're indicating possession.

“People” is used to refer to multiple persons: There are several people standing over there. Some people (persons) like coffee; other people (persons) like tea. In that meaning, “people” is itself plural: “people like tea, not “people likes tea.”
“Peoples” is the plural of a DIFFERENT meaning of “people,” in which “people” means “an ethnic group” or “a nation” or “the group of people living in some particular place, or having some particular characteristics.” The Sioux are a people. The French are a people. The Hmong are a people. THIS is the meaning used in “the people of the world.”
