@Israel_de_Araujo yes! if you were at a carnival/parade and it started raining, that would be a little unfortunate. “Raining on someone’s parade” is an expression by the way. So don’t take it in a literal sense.

To take the place of something with something else; swap something out for something else. You can replace people as well as objects.

@IsraeldeAraujo “*He can’t rain on my parade! He can’t do it.” would be used like you’re in disbelief. A “how could he do this?” kind of sentence. Parade means a celebration with dancers and floats and stuff, but in this context it would just mean ruin your mood basically.
