“As well as” is similar to “and also”, “also” and “in addition”
In that sentence, using “as well as” is ok
“I went to the post office to collect my letter as well as the bubble tea shop to buy milk tea”
->because you went to different places, you need to say where you’re going first or else it sounds like you got bubble tea at the post office too
->this sentence structure is
[past tense] to [present tense]
so the verbs “collect” and “buy” are in present while “go” is in the past
