It depends on what do you want to say:
عم
in general means (uncle).
People also use it to call a male stranger (from distance). By saying:
يا عم!
But it can be also used when you say something like: كنت عم بحكي معها
(I was talking to her).
But here its used only in the colloquial arabic language.

thank you very much

in that case it is used in present continuous like:
زبطت معي
it worked
رح تزبط معي
it will work
عم تزبط معي
it is working
that's not an exact rule since we are talking about dialects but that's what the meaning is

@Amir2004 welp in this case its kinda hard to explain...
For example Instead of saying: ما بتزبط معي.
They say: مش عم تزبط معي.
Another example: ليش ما بترد؟
They say: ليش ما عم بترد؟
Overall its the same thing.

I missed the question about “ليش ما عم بترد"
No one says : ليش مش عم بترد/ ليش مش بترد
Its unnatural and no one speaks like that. Plus its hard to pronounce ش multiple times continuously like that.
ليش ما بترد؟
ليش ما عم بترد؟
Is used 100% and its natural to the ear.
You can use مش in sentences like.
مش سامع!!
(I cant hear anything)
يا زلمه مش رايح!
(Dude im not going)
Since its colloquial language you wont say “ana” (انا مش سامع) / (انا مش رايح)
You sure can use “ana” but the common used way is to say the verb directly.
(مش سامع)/ (مش سامعه)
(مش رايح)/ (مش رايحه)
For female / male

I thought that
ما- negate the past
مش-negate the present in colloquial
Generally is it correct?

@Amir2004 dont use مش after ليش.
Use only ما.
I can think of only one exception where you can use “mesh” after “Lesh”
مثال: ليش؟؟؟ مش انت حكيت انك راح تيجي؟؟
(Whyyy? Didnt YOU say that you will come??)
See, when theres a pause between “Lesh” and the next sentence as if they are two different sentences. then yes its possible to use it like that.
Other examples with how كيف where “Mesh” is also used:
مثال؛ كيف؟ مش انت حكيت انو اليوم عطله؟
(How? Didnt YOU say that today is a day off?)
مثال: كيف؟؟؟مش انت اللي حكيت انو اليوم عطله؟
(How?? Werent YOU the one who said that today is a day off??)

@Amir2004 ما- negate the past
مش-negate the present in colloquial
Generally is it correct? Yes
For example:
Negating in the past:
رنيت عليه بس ما رد.
(I called him but he didnt answer)
Negating in the present:
برن عليه بس مش عم برد.
(Im calling him but he isn’t answering)

@Amir2004 yes you can use mesh after Keef.
كيف؟ مش كانو المصاري هون مبارح؟
(How? Werent the money here yesterday?)
كيف؟ مش صرّفنا مصاري قبل اسبوع؟
(How? Didnt we exchange the money one week ago?)
You can say Mesh without Keef too.

Alright thank you very much I'm sorry for keeping asking and asking LOL but you are really helping me.
Last thing hhhhhh if I have a word which ends with shin, and there is no ? or, or. between,so I must replace mesh with ma?
or it is just for
ليش؟
(what about قديش، ايش؟)
Thank you Thank you Thank you

@Amir2004 dont confuse yourself with words and what they end with. Just dont use (verb) ليش مش.
Because its not used. Only use :
ليش ما (verb)
Example: (why didn’t you call me before?)
🚫 ليش مش رنيت علي من قبل؟
✅ ليش ما رنيت علي من قبل؟
Example: (why didn’t you eat good?)
🚫 ليش مش اكلت منيح؟
✅ ليش ما اكلت منيح؟
——————-
With nouns you can use mesh after Lesh.
Example:
طيب ليش مش اللون الاخضر؟
(Why not the color green?)
طيب ليش ما بدك اللون الاخضر؟
(Why dont you want the color green?)
Same thing but
1st sentence : Mesh after Lesh
2nd sentence : Ma after Lesh
—————-
you can use words beginning with ش after Lesh.
Example:
بدي اسالك، ليش شكل الارض كروي؟
some say:
بدي اسالك، ليش الارض شكلها كروي؟
Both sentences mean: (i want to ask you, why the earth’s shape is round?)
Depending on your ability to pronounce all that. I personally would say the second sentence because it’s easier to pronounce than to stutter in the first one. But if its easy for you to pronounce the first one then go for it.
I hope i didn’t confuse you. If i did, just remember the first thing i wrote “dont use (verb) ليش مش.
Because its not used. Only use :
ليش ما (verb)”
