@okean yo trabajo es de carácter general. Indica que tienes trabajo o la utilizas para decir dónde trabajas.
"yo trabajo en el hospital"
Estoy trabajando, sin embargo indica que en el momento en el que estás hablando, estás trabajando.
"No puedo ir ahora, estoy trabajando"

for example: I work in the Italian restaurant
y yo estoy trabajando, sería más correcto utilizarlo en frases de presente continuo, es una actividad que se está realizando justo en este momento.
