SNSは口語調で使う人が多いので、仰る通り「だ」「である」のような文語的な表現はあまり使われません。特定個人へのメッセージだとなおさら稀です。
こういった文体は主に書籍や学術論文では一般的なので、不特定多数に向けて論説するような内容だとSNSでも稀にこういう言葉使いのポストはあります。
