does " I'm not falling" have the same meaning as in "I'm not gonna fall"?

is " I'm not falling" a shortening of "I'm not gonna fall"?

or is " I'm not falling" a shortening of " I won't be falling"? ( like when you say "I'm flying to NY tomorrow" instead of I'm gonna fly to NY tomorrow " or " I will be flying to NY tomorrow")

"I'm not falling..." is in the present, but it is being used to describe a condition (or plan, or routine) that endures into the future.

Similarly,
I'm taking the bus to school. (said before leaving home)
I'm having pizza for dinner. (said while cooking dinner, not yet eating it)
I'm going to college in the Fall. (my plan is to go to college in the Fall)
and, your example,
I'm flying to NY tomorrow. (my plan is to fly tomorrow)
