Perdí no es presente, es pasado(pretérito perfecto simple) también 😅. Se usan más o menos igual. Por ejemplo : perdí la cartera / se me perdió la cartera.

Bueno, el "se me" sirve para decir que no fue intencionado. Quizá la diferencia sería resaltar que fue un accidente. Pero creo que los nativos realmente lo usamos indistintamente(que no diferenciamos).

@kaskoh: Practicamente no hay diferencia, ni siquiera de matiz, pero se me perdió es cuando no fue intencionado ni pudiste hacer nada, mientras que perdí puede ser para algun objeto que pierdes o algun partido/apuesta deportiva etc.
Se me perdio una pulsera en el concierto (con toda la gente no me di cuenta y la perdí).
Perdí la cartera por llevarmela a la feria(me la robaron)(en este caso, no era necesario llevarla y la llevé, por lo que no se me perdió, sino que la perdí yo).
Perdí el partido de la final y conseguí la plata.
Perdí más de mil euros en las Vegas.
