Q:
I'd like to know how the causative verb "get" in the sentence below grammatically works.
"We just go there. We just go there and meet her.Next week, when I take you for the lab tests.I 'll get you singed out for the hole dayThen we can go to Littlehampton on the way back."
I can hardly grasp what "I'll get you sighed out "means because according to LONGMAN DICTIONARY, the causative verb get takes a thing as an object instead of a personal pronoun such as you,him or her.
Also, what does it make a difference compared to the usage of a causative verb such as "get sb to do".?
Thank you in advance!

A:
"I'll get you signed out" means I will sign you out. The "get" means to make a task completed. "I'll have the task of signing you out completed". I hope this was helpfull!
Q:
I'm studying causative expressions and I found the sentence "The coach ran the athletes around the track". It means that the coach caused the athletes to run around the track in a non-coercive way.
Several studies have reported that we can say "run the athletes around the track" but cannot "jog the athletes around the track."
I want to know how native speakers feel about this difference. Please share your ideas or impressions about this difference. Your ideas don't have to be logical. I just want kind of your feeling.
I would appreciate it if you could share your ideas!

A:
To me, "run the athletes around the track" sounds like the coach is making them do it and standing on the sidelines, whereas "jog the athletes around the track" sounds like he is personally leading them in a jog around the track, rather than just watching.
Q:
I am studying causative verbs now, so there are example in my book and i cant understand the difference between these one:
I had them postpone the decision.
You won't get me to do scuba diving.
The book tells me that both variants mean "persuade", but whats the difference between have and get

A:
to have something is to be in possession, not always something physical. To get someone to do something seems to be against their will- especially in the scuba diving sentence! To have someone do something is very formal, but to get someone to do something is more casual :) I hope that helps!
