Questions about example sentences with, and the definition and usage of "Zoom"

A: It means looking at something from further away, so that you can see more. It’s usually used for taking photos or on computers - you zoom in to make an image smaller, and zoom out to make it bigger. I think in Chinese it’s 變放.

In this sentence she’s using it metaphorically, so it means to think about the whole situation / her whole life, instead of the details of what’s happening to her right now.

A: For example, you took a photo but the person was too far and you can't see the face or the object. So, you "zoom" in to look closely at the picture by doing it in your phone/camera.

A: They are synonymous, but when you zoom into something (using a camera lens, for instance), the object appears bigger, but in reality, it stays the same size and you get to see more of its details. When you enlarge something, it actually gets bigger.

Examples:

When you pour water on a dry sponge, it enlarges in size.

The camera began to zoom in on the couple to capture the magic of their kiss.

You can say 'zoom it up and it technically is correct, but 'zoom it in' is the more common usage :)
