ambas son correctas y tienen distinto significado
con el GERUNDIO la acción es continua
con el INFINITIVO la acción puede estar por comenzar ( me voy a sentar) , o puede haber terminado ( la vi fumar en la terraza)
es un grupo verbal
ambos verbos conservan el significado, tanto imaginar cómo caminar
El segundo verbo , (" caminando" o "caminar") es el objeto directo de "imagínate "

1) cuando usamos GERUNDIO expresamos una acción que empezó antes y continúa ocurriendo en este momento
( te imaginas en un momento en que ya empezaste a caminar y continúas caminando )
