Question about English (US)

Does this dialogue sound natural?
M: When you’re invited to the birthday party of your friend’s friend, it’s tricky to decide whether you should bring a gift or not, isn't it?
W: Well, since you’re not directly acquainted, I don’t think you need to bring anything too elaborate.
M: But it feels awkward to show up empty-handed, so it’s better to at least bring something, right?
W: Yeah, maybe something light, like a drink or some small snacks would be fine.
