Q:
What is the difference between I haven't received your letter until now and I haven't received your letter yet ?
A:
Well it’s about grammar, cause the word ‘have’ and ‘not’ put together is haven’t, but both of you sentences are not based on the same content. Your first sentence should sound like ‘ I didn’t receive your letter until later’ or something like that...but anyway, the second sentence is fine. :)

Q:
You had already explained to me that “this group” replace any letter with the letter C.
I remember you also told me that it is easy to understand them once you get used to them. I don't think I'll understand until I actually understand "normal English*". (*I mean an “everyday English” and therefore not academic but no from the street either).
For example, I have a friend who does NOT understand him even if she speaks advanced English.
We have "verlan" here (it's a kind of slang). I can understand it, but surely a non-native speaker, as long as he doesn't have a good mastery of French won't be able to understand it.. a lot of people like my uncles/aunties who haven't bathed in the street culture at all won't understand.
Does this sound natural?

Q:

A:
Yes, that does work if there's an "and" there.
It is a bit harder to parse that way, though.
The human brain could easily interpret it to mean "symbols used to [write a language and do something]"... and then get slightly confused when it encounters "representing".
That's probably the reason why it's better to use a comma there instead.

A:
That sounds really good and so sweet! The only thing is the first sentence with “I dare…” I understand where you are coming from, but a more natural way of what your trying to say would be, “I hope you ditch your school work and do whatever makes you happiest today!”
