Questions about example sentences with, and the definition and usage of "Favor"

A: It's when you want to gain someone's favor by being really nice or through flattery (for example, in this case your boss, you laugh at his jokes too hard even if its corny, you always bring him coffee, you treat him to dinner etc.)
Sometimes it could also mean working extra hard, like staying late at work even if you don't have to, but really you just want to show off to your boss/gain his/her favor

A: Then I think you should keep it as it is... “As you do more favors...” though I find it weird for people to look down on you whenyou do them favors. A thought may be that as consequence of you doing plenty of favors, they tend to “take advantage of you.”

A: "this day out" means in this context something like, "一日中には一緒に出かけて遊んでいること" What the person is trying to express is most likely that they are paying for going out and spending the day doing fun things to express gratitude for something the other person did for them or gave to them. The "consider this... a present" is because the speaker most likely wanted to do it anyway, but they want to frame it as returning a favor.

However! Some people do mean “I’ll repay you” as “I’ll repay you (a favor)” as opposed to money
