What does "you name it" in "Yep, whether it's massages, water sports, snorkeling excursions, you name it." mean?
A:
In a way, it is like saying "anything that you can name" or "anything that you can think of the name for". It is the idea that this statement is true for so many different things, that if you can think of the name for something that also fits this list of things, then it is probably true for that too. That there are just too many things to possibly name them all, it is almost like there are too many examples to fully list them all.
So:
"The music store was so big, it was filled with all different kinds of instruments. I think they sell every kind of instrument that exists! If you name it, then it's probably there. I have never seen so many! It was incredible!"
"I think books are amazing. No matter what you want to study about, you can always find a book about it. There's books about dancing and music and learning languages and finger-painting and how to cook and ancient cave paintings... I mean, you name it and there's a book on it."

Synonyms of "Name" and their differences
Q:
What is the difference between His name is familiar to me and His name is familiar for me ?
A:
They both make sense but the second sounds a bit unnatural.
Q:
What is the difference between I am (name) and My name is (name) ?
A:
they both have the same meaning. They are just said in different ways. Maybe the difference is the setting. For example if you are introducing yourself to a small group of people you might say “I’m (name)” vs a big group of people where you might say “My name is (name).” As native speakers though we use it interchangeably so it doesn’t matter.
Q:
What is the difference between When his name was asked, little Jone did not reply.
and
When asked what his name was, little Jone did not reply. ?
and
When asked what his name was, little Jone did not reply. ?
A:
“When asked what his name was” sounds natural. 👍
“When his name was asked” sounds a little strange. The word ask is usually directed toward the thing you are talking to.
“I asked the teacher” = I was talking to the teacher
“I asked his name” = I was talking to his name. You can’t talk to a name, so this sounds a little odd.
But if you say “ask for,” it works very well when you want something.
“I asked for some cheese” = I wanted some cheese
“I asked for his name” = I wanted to hear his name.
So, the sentence works fine if you say “When his name was asked for, little John did not reply.”
There is also another word that means “ask” or “ask for” that would sound very good here. The word is “request.”
“When his name was requested...” this is how I would write the sentence. Or “When asked for his name...” It sounds very nice these ways. 👌

Senzon
Centron
Saintron
Which one sounds most natural to you native speakers? I personally prefer Saintron. Does it feel like some kind of robots or feel funny?
A:
oh! They were meant to be pronounced differently.
Centron immediately reminded me of Centrum, which is a brand that sells vitamins. So I wouldn't personally use that one.
Senzon may be difficult for some people to pronounce. I'd imagine that the S followed by the Z would cause a slight slur of the sounds for anyone with difficulty, which may come out sounding like a TH instead of the Z.
I don't see any issues with Saintron. It would likely be pronounced close to /seɪn'trɪn/ by most native English speakers.
